Bequests

A bequest is a statement of intent in your will or living trust that designates Merola as a beneficiary for a specific dollar amount or for a percentage of an estate or residuary estate. This charitable planned gift to us will reduce the value of your estate for federal tax purposes and will also be exempt from state inheritance taxes. With a bequest, your assets remain in your control during your lifetime. The bequest can be modified if your circumstances change and you can direct your bequest to a particular purpose within the Merola Opera Program.
